The surrounding area

Laboe lies at the exit of the Kiel fjord. The long, fine sandy beach fells very much decline to the fjord so that it recommends itself for families particularly with little children. In front of the front door the "beach life" offers a special attraction to the Kiel fjord, for "seeing people" who can watch the ships passing by.
