Coming from Berlin you reach a low mountain range with deciduous forests, lakes and the charming contrast of the Oderbruch's plain scenery. In the small town of Bad Freienwalde the oldest health resort of Brandenburg is located. Directly adjoined to the backyard are magnificent old woods - recommended for walking-tours on the footsteps of the famous German poet Theodor Fontane. In the Oderbruch countryside, that stretches till the border of Poland, you experience a plain landscape, homeland of a rich population of birds.
