St Georges de la Riviere, is famous for Les Dunes de St Georges on a totally unspoilt beach just 20 minutes walk, or 5 minutes drive from Les Pommiers. The beach has a boating slipway and free parking.
Golf
Nine-hole golf course in neighbouring village, St Jean de la Rivière, close to sea. Cycling: If you would like to hire bicycles, we are able to collect them for you from the inexpensive Bike Hire shop in nearby Portbail and return them at the end of your stay. The Cotentin peninsula offers wonderful cycling routes, with gentle undulating countryside and beautiful quiet lanes.

The village has an epicerie for general groceries and adjoining bar with open log-fire on cooler days.
The market towns of Portbail and Barneville Carteret are both within a five minute drive (15 minutes by bicycle). Both towns have sailing schools that also offer sand-yachting and boats and yachts for hire.

The lower floor is not suitable for a wheelchair, but with a ground-floor kitchen/living area (with sofabed) and shower room it is suitable for a person with reduced mobility.
