In an old seminary building a few apartments had been created.
Through your own entrance with parking space the garden with terrace and the apartment are to be reached
The house has been build against the mountain, the entrance of the apartment is at the rear of the building. After the entrance you enter the long hall where you can find the toilet, bathroom, bedrooms, and the entrance to the living.
The apartment has a large and light living room and it provides a view of the valley. This room is furnished with a comfortable sofa bed, some armchairs, a dining table and six chairs, a sideboard, stereo with CD player and a TV set.
The kitchen is to be reached from the living room, which has a gas-stove with an oven and dishwasher.

The neighbourhood of Embrun is recommendable for everyone who loves space, clear air and quietness. By the height of the mountains with summits of about 3000m. the area is excellent for all kind of mountaineering. There are many differend hiking routes for hikers and there are some climbing-walls with different levels. There is a possibility to join canyoning for the genuine adventurer. For the ones who don’t like to go on foot they can explore the area by mountain bike.
The Park National des Ecrins is to be reached from Embrun via Reallon or Chateauroux les Alpes. The park has a rich flora with 1800 different kinds of plants of which 40 are rare or endangered species and a fauna with 210 kinds of birds like eagles and 110 other species of animals. The park is about 180.000 ha. large and paths have been constructed with a length of 740 km. It is not allowed to visit the park by vehicle. So, make a discovery on foot and because of the large area of the park, one day won’t be enough to explore. The height of the park is between 800m. and 4102m. of which the summit is La Barre des Ecrins.
The Parc Naturel Regional du Queyras is about 30 minutes drive from Embrun, via the small village Guillestre. Here also is a wide variety of flora and fauna. Hiking, climbing, canyoning, mountain biking, rafting, kayak, parapente and horse-riding belong to the possibilities here. But of course you can find a quiet spot on the spacious alpine meadows to have a fine picnic or just to enjoy the quietness and the view. In the centre of the park there is a small village called Saint-Veran. This village is the highest village in Europe (2000m.) Saint-Veran is one of the most beautiful villages in France.
Lac de Serre-Poncon: The river Durance flows through the Parc Naturel Regional du Queryras in the direction of Embrun where it flows in the Lac de Serre-Poncon. The strongly current river offers the water sport participant’s excellent possibilities like kayaking, rafting and also canyoning in the higher areas. Fishing is attractive here and even special mountain hikes are being organised for fly-fishing.

During the winter season the nearby ski areas offer many winter sports activities. The ski area of Les Orres is of about 14 Km distance (about 20 minutes drive). Les Orres has a difference of height of 1170 m with 63 Km piste and 23 ski lifts.
Apart from alpine skiing and snowboarding many other winter sports can be practised, like ski cross-country langlauf, randonnee skiing, ski jarring, ice climbing, etc
