The surrounding area
Almost at Wales’ most south-westerly point and within The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park with its stunning landscape of rugged cliffs, sandy beaches and rolling countryside, 3 West End is conveniently situated on the westerly edge of Marloes village.
A Short walk in front of 3 West End takes you to the coast path just above Musselwick beach. Marloes sands is about 10 – 15 minutes walk in the opposite direction. Being on a peninsula abound with footpaths leaves you with a great choice of both long and short circular walks. Other beaches close by are St Brides and West Dale(surfing).
A pleasant, short stroll will lead you straight to the heart of the village, where you will find a friendly shop and post office, which sells newspapers and magazines, groceries and fresh produce. There is also a playing field, children’s play park, café and pub.
The café, ‘The Clockhouse’, is a daytime café which serves excellent, locally sourced and home-cooked food. It also has B&B rooms.
The village pub, The Lobster Pot, serves bar food and has an evening restaurant. It has a beer garden, SKY TV, darts and a pool table. There are also rooms for B&B.
Dale is about five minutes by car and Little Haven, Broad Haven, Haverfordwest and Milford Haven are all in easy reach.
Activities
For watersport lovers, a visit to the lively resort of Dale is a must. A five minute drive from Ty Gwyn, Dale waterfront offers excellent sailing and windsurfing. Dale is the home of the West Wales Wind, Surf and Sailing centre, which runs sailing, windsurfing and surfing instruction.
Diving, fishing and coastal walking.
Marloes Sands offers a spectacular mile of sandy beach. Footpaths from 3 west end lead straight to Marloes Sands and musselwick beach.
St Martin’s Haven- about two miles from 3 West End- you can take a boat trip to the famous bird islands of Skomer and Skokholm
