Townhead Steading is set within rolling countryside situated on the edge of the conservation village of Minto. The two 4-star rated self catering cottages formed from original stone steadings dating back to the early 1800s, are surrounded by gardens and fields beyond.
Both cottages have been converted and furnished to a high standard with double bedroom, en-suite bathroom, sitting room and kitchen area.
Stable cottage is a single storey building overlooking a pretty courtyard garden with views of the golf course to the
front.
Granary Cottage is at first floor level accessed by external stone steps. The property overlooks Minto Hills and has gardens to the front with views of the golf course

The surrounding area
Minto is well situated within the rolling countryside of the Scottish Borders. The area is rich in history and has many historic towns, including Melrose, Jedburgh and Kelso, castles, country houses and abbeys to visit.
Minto Golf course is immediately across the road.
For the walker, there are many walks within the area, including The Abbeys Way, St. Cuthberts Way and Pennine Way. Bordering the cottages is the pretty Minto Glen and the Minto Hills rising to over 900 feet with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.
For the fisherman, The River Tweed, is often called the Queen of the salmon rivers, and the Teviot, which provides first class fishing for brown trout, is less than a mile away.

Situated between Jedburgh, Melrose and Hawick, Minto is within easy reach of both the A7 and the A68 and ideally placed for touring the Scottish Borders and North Northumberland. Minto lies 1.5 miles north of Denholm village which is on the A698 midway between Jedburgh and Hawick.
