The village Pitsidia is situated on the edge of the fertile plain of Messara, where you walk beyond olivetrees!With these walks you'll find other nice villages.
The nearest beach to Pitsidia is the bay of Comos, having got miles of sand and guarantees you even in highseason a quiet place!
And if you are lucky you'll see a turtle, named Caretta-Caretta, placing there her eggs !!
The next village at the sea is Matala, situated in a beautiful bay, with other 2 beaches, tavernas, cafe's, bar's and shops.
If you are interested in archaeology, nearby, even on the beach you find minoan excavations!
there are the wellknown places of Festos, Agia Triada and Gortys.
