Petite Venise
The surrounding area
Nested in one of the most picturesque half-timbered houses of Colmar dating from the XVIth century, the residence offers an exclusive sight on the Dominican Church and the Saint-Martin Collegial Church.
In the heart of the pedestrian area, a stone's throw from the historical centre and museums, la "Closerie de la Collégiale Saint-Martin" takes advantage of its ideal situation near luxury shops, delicatessen and gastronomical stages.
The sign hanged at the corner of the Zimmerlin House, designed by Hansi, illustrates the local gastronomy made of fine cooked pork meats and sausages. During summer and winter, the neighbouring place is constantly animated with coffee terraces, flea markets and savour markets.

Activities
For sportsmen and amateurs of excursions, the Vosges Mountains are a few kilometres away from Colmar. Numerous tracks invite you to trekking, biking, or simple quiet walks in summer, and for alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, and snow-shoe trekking in winter. You also may eat traditional dishes in one of the farm-inns, around the lakes.
