The Gite is simple, cosy and especially wonderful for people looking for quiet surroundings and lots of space. The cottage has two stories. The ground floor has a cosy livingroom with kitchen (around 30m2) with all you comfortably need, a bathroom with shower, toilet and washing machine. On the first floor: the bedroom (ca 30m2) with a huge bed for two. We can accommodate 3 persons with an extra bed. From there you have a wonderful view on the valley. Great awakenings! You relax on your own terrace with chairs and a table to have dinner or coffee. In front of the cottage lies a small countryroad for the neighbours (farmers) to pass by. Plus the postwoman and the baker… a couple of times a week you can buy fresh croissants at your doorstep!

The surrounding area
Maison Perdu, named after the former cat of the house, is surrounded by silence. Meadows, cows, sheep and a occassional tractor to disturb the silence. If you follow the road to the top of the hill, you walk into a cool forest. Great walks! The French around are all farmers. Enough of the silence? There are plenty nice villages, towns and cities nearby with musea, shops, markets, cafes and restaurants. Chiddes is the small village closest by, within 5 minutes by car. It has a grocery shop, a bakery and a real Café de la Poste for a afternoon drink. Around 15 minutes further up, is Luzy, with more cafes, restaurants, shops and a supermarket. Autun, with a nice weekly farmersmarket and a big supermarket is around 40 minutes away with the car.

Most of these activities are in either Luzy (10km) or Autun (35 km). The surroundings are hilly, so ideal for walks and biking.
