All historical places of interest are easy accessed by foot. To carry in your luggage, you can drive to the front door but may not park there. Parking in car parks (cost) or in 7-8 minutes by foot in a quiet area for free.
The historic house is partly still in it's original condition and is therefore an experience. The air quality is due to the natural building materials (hay, wood, stone) very good. Sensible guests from all over the world come back and visit us. The house is for non-smokers.
The surrounding area
The 1000 year old world cultural heritage city Bamberg offers something for everybody. Romantic lanes and gardens, historic buildings such as the town hall, the cathedral, die old residence, the "Böttingerhaus", ETA Hoffmannhaus, the Bamberger Symphoniker and little Venice. Many museums, historic guesthouses, beer cellars and breweries.
Bamberg is the "Mecca" of Bavarian beer fans. Franconian hostels, Franconian specialties and the Franconian hospitableness are world known. Only a few kilometres away are the thermal baths of Staffelstein, Obernsees and Bayreuth. Franconian Switzerland with it's many valleys, mountains, forests, castles and caves is a paradise for hikers and is directly by Bamberg.
