La Mare aux fées is a very beautiful stone and mas house peculiar to this part of Normandy in the middle of the Marais du Cotentin National Park, a protected area with an abundance of plants and wildlife.
The house has an open plan main room with a dining table and corner kitchen equipped. The living room area has a sofa bed if needed.
Upstairs are a double room and a bathroom with bath and WC.
Outside is a garden with an interior courtyard and private terrace with garden furniture and barbecue.

Gorges is a beautiful little village. Country lanes you deep into the Marshes, past lovely manor farms and through a landscape scattered with small lakes and streams (bring a rod) that attracts migrating birds and a sandy soil that is ideal for a variety of rare plants, which thrive in thes conditions.
A succession of sandy beaches stretch for miles along the west coast and the Normandy Landing beaches on the north coast begin about 25 kms from here, the famous tapestry of Bayeux is about 40 minutes, Cherbourg is 50 kms away and the Mont-Saint-Michel is about 90 minutes.
There are a number of other villages within a short drivewhich have shops and markets.
