The vacation rental
The owners have built a traditional house with materials of the area, stone and wood. The spaces of the house include a fully equipped kitchen, bedroom with fireplace, bathroom, washing machine, air condition, television and a balcony with a fantastic view of Festos.
At the same time the owner operates a tavern where you can taste rabbit served with fried potatoes, delicious salads, omelets with zucchini together with wine and raki produced by him. |

The surrounding area
“Festios Home” is located in the heart of the village Agios Ioannis with the 75 inhabitants, at the less-tourism Soutcoast of Crete.
The plain of Messara outstretches around, while in the west the mountain of Psiloritis is raising proud, and at the end of the horizon, just a few kilometers away, the deep blue sea of the beaches of Matala, Kalamaki, and Komos, offer the visitor a sense of freedom.
There are a lot of interesting activities, such as trekking at the nearby hills where you can collect herbs, bicycling, swimming in the sea, and visits to the archeological places as the one of Aghia Triada etc.
