The Holiday Apartments
"Lindenhaus", a stunning timber building, was finished in 2006 and shows the love of life and light of its English-Bavarian owners: spacious and contemporary design, using natural, tactile materials and colours. Surrounded by mature trees and meadows yet situated in an idyllic Bavarian village Lindenhaus caters for each aspect of the "lightness of being": a luxury spa area, individually booked for each apartment, a holistic physiotherapy practice and Yoga studio run by the owner in the adjoining building, offering a host of classical and alternative treatments and massages. There are also lots of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors with its unspoilt forests, rivers and woodlands, ideal for walking, cycling and cross-country skiing.

Lindenhaus is run by Englishman Peter Turner and Waltraud Ertl, a native of Bärnzell. Together they provide a warm welcome and a wealth of information and activities to make your stay in this beautiful area truly memorable.

Location and surroundings
Our traditional farming village Bärnzell is nestled in the heart of the Bavarian Forest in Southeastern Germany, just 15 km from the Czech border and 65 km from Austria. Bärnzell has two welcoming pubs serving traditional Bavarian food and local ales and wine. The glass town of Zwiesel is only 2 km away and offers many restaurants serving international or Bavarian food. Zwiesel has been world-famous for its skilled glassmakers for centuries. Their craft can be seen firsthand in the many local glassworks.
