The vacation rental
Immersed in the smooth hills of Marche surrounding the ancient town of Fermo, Farm MadonnaBruna takes its name from the commemorative aedicule dated back to the XIX century and situated at the entrance of the Farm. The statue represents Our Lady of Loreto and recalls the small church built in times past by the local land-owners to thank the Virgin Mary after a miraculous intervention. During the centuries the temple had been destroyed, but popular devotion has always remembered this area as particularly fruitful and pleasant, a clear evidence of the special favour reserved to this land by the dark-haired Mighty Lady (in Italian Madonna Bruna).
The farm lies only 4 Km from the sea, between the town of Fermo and the village of Lapedona, and enjoys a beautiful panoramic view of the green hills and the Adriatic Sea. |

The surrounding area
The activity of the country Inn “Agriturismo Madonnabruna” is carried out in an ancient farmhouse completely restored preserving the features of old rural Marche houses and consists of four self catering apartments all with independent entrance and parking. Particular attention has been paid to privacy, every apartment is composed of two- three bedrooms, a living room with kitchen , bathroom and a private veranda or terrace.
The farmhouse is situated on the top of the hill in a panoramic location at the end of a private path, is far from traffic roads but only 4 km from the beach that can be admired from the house.
The farmhouse is in the very heart of the farm, surrounded by high trees, vineyards and orchards; the absence of noise is really agreeable: at Madonnabruna our guests will find silence which only a country inn, lost inside nature, can assure and will regenerate with long walks in the paths of the farm observing the countryside activities.

Agriturismo Madonnabruna is the ideal place for a calm farmstay because offers relaxing environmentally friendly holidays thereby allowing the visitor both time to have fun at the beach in Porto San Giorgio and also discover the numerous cultural beauties which Marche is very rich in.
In the Farm our guests will have the opportunity of tasting our traditional local products with their genuine flavours and fragrances: they will taste our extra virgin biological certified olive oil and fruit and will sip the excellent wine produced and mellowed in the barriques of our cellar.
In the area, visitors can find many taverns and small restaurants and experience the local cuisine, which offers skilfully prepared regional dishes.
For those who don’t only want to relax in the country but also wish to visit the most important cultural centres of the area, a wide range of short day trips is possible, the surroundings are rich of art and history and really deserve a visit.
The country Inn Madonnabruna is an excellent base for excursions in the Piceno area to visit the historical towns of Fermo, Torre di Palme, Grottammare and the antique town of Ascoli Piceno only 25/30 km away from Madonnabruna .
Another very interesting place to visit is the pre-roman and medieval town of Ancona (40 km from the farm) with nearby the very famous sanctuary of Loreto containing the house of the Virgin Mary transported here from the Holy Land and rebuilt during the Crusades.
Moreover, there are plenty of ancient unknown little villages in this area, where our guests can enjoy charming walks inside medieval walls and through delightful ancient narrow streets.

Special characteristics
In 2002 Farm Madonnabruna started the construction of the new and modern wine cellar, completed in 2004, where are applied the most recent and effective technologies of the wine sector: automatic control of the fermentation temperature, “delastage” technique for wine making, cryo-soaking and any other method tested in order to obtain high quality wines.
The BARRICAIA is located in the old farmhouse, separated from the technical area of the cellar. Here small barrels (barriques) made of French oak are lined up. This is a room specially designed to receive the best production of the Farm, here the finest wines Madonnabruna are carefully controlled and mellowed before being distributed in selected wine shops and restaurants.
