The vacation rental
Precisely 89 year after Jaroslav Hašek joined the 91st Infantry of the Imperial and Royal Army, 31st Švejk Restaurant in the Czech Republic was opened in Bublava.
Within the first hour after the festive opening our new beer tap Nostalgia poured 328 pints of Hašek’s beloved lager Pilsner Urquell.
The restaurant offers 60 seats, then in summer 80 seats in the garden restaurant. Bublava’s Švejk is unique among the others. One of its parts is also a “dance room”, a hall which can take more than 120 guests and in which you can apart from the dance floor also find darts, table football, snooker and billiard. The hall is an ideal place for concerts, celebrations, corporate parties, weddings, seminars, workshops or congresses. It has its own audio system, large projection screen, and a stage.
The staff dressed in contemporary costumes can offer you an excellent old Czech cuisine with many specialities, including recipes taken out of the “grandma’s box”. And this all is set in premises equipped with stylish tavern stools, contemporary design, hand carved motives, stylish glasses, china and cutlery. For those who do not want to leave Švejk empty-handed we sell souvenirs, promotional products and corporate gifts with symbols of Švejk. |

The surrounding area
Bublava is a typical village of the Krušné Mountains. It lies in the western part of the Krušné Mountains. On the north it borders with Germany - Free State of Saxony.
The village itself and its surroundings have a lot to offer. The area is ideal for relaxation both in summer and winter, not only for short breaks but also for longer active holiday. This part of Western Bohemia will captivate you by its surprising cleanness, quiet and untouched nature in which you can find many interesting and beautiful places. There are many lovely places for walking and hiking with track and paths for walkers, cyclists or even cross-country skiers – and these all continue to neighbouring Saxony. You can go horse-riding or just enjoy a ride in a carriage or you can even participate actively in the farming process and help in the stables.
Worth mentioning are some of the closest natural sights such as natural park Přebuz or basalt organs near Rotava and other plentiful not only natural sights which the West Bohemian spa triangle (Karlovy Vary - Mariánské Lázně - Františkovy Lázně) offers

Bublava is at her best in winter. It does not matter whether you are a big or just a small fan of winter sports, you will enjoy it here anyway. In the heart of Bublava, right next to Švejk Restaurant there is a ski lift of SKI-BUBLAVA skiing resort. The resort offers a whole range of skiing, gastronomic and other facilities and services.
