The Cottage

We offer a true retreat from the pressure of modern living, far away from traffic with a high degree of privacy and seclusion in the natural landscape of the Normandy.

The nearest norman village is about 3 km away from our stone holiday cottage with 85 qm living space, parking lot and garden on the edge of a small street. Situated very calmly in green meadows with browsing cows and sheeps, apple trees, pear trees and wind-blown hedges. It offers a safe haven for children to play and nobody is disturbed.

In the daytime you can enjoy fantastic views to the Normandy landscape and in the night watch the truly gigantic starry sky.

If there is dirty weather you can cosy up to the fireplace of your holiday rental.

Special features

We speak German, English and French and we offer fresh products from our farm (vegetables, meat and eggs) as well as Cidre Pommeau Poiré and others.

A babysitting service can be provided.

Location and surroundings

The Normandy offers the choice between a lot of sport facilities such as hiking (hiking trail GR 221 is only 100 m away), cycling and horse riding, canoeing, Bungee-jumping, climbing or day trips with the donkey.

You are warmly invited to visit our farm (400 m) with its cows, sheep, chicken, ducks and horse. Enjoy the summer evenings at the camp-fire with Cidre, wine and baguette with Camembert and all the delicacies of the norman country.

There are many attractive destinations ot the Normandy to explore: the cathedral of Coutances, the carpet of Bayeux, the beaches of invasion or the Mont St. Michel or day trips to the Channel Island Jersey. Guided walks across the bay of Mont St. Michel during low tide are a real adventure.

   Liebe Andrea und Georg,
   
   auch im Jahre 2011 war unser Urlaub wieder super bei Euch. Ruhe und Erholung war wieder toll. Auch die Kinder(9,12,14) sind von der Umgebung und den Entdeckungstouren begeistert. Ausflüge zu zahlreichen Museen, Strände und Städte sind wie immer zu empfehlen. Aber auch nach unserem zweiten Besuch haben wir immer noch nicht alles gesehen. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können den Urlaub bei Euch und Eurer Gastlichkeit nur empfehlen. Euer Honig ist super und die Tomaten und Eier erst! Das Wasser läuft einem im Mund zusammen.
   
   Bleibt wie ihr seit und macht weiter so!

   Vielen Dank für die tolle Bereitstellung Eures Ferienhauses! Es war wieder super klasse und wir denken gerne an die schöne Zeit zurück. Wir haben wieder neue Eindrücke und Idee von der Natur mit nach Hause genommen und auch für unsere 6 jährige Tochter waren die Tage bei Euch ein reines Naturerlebnis, die Frage nach dem Fernseh gucken kam gar nicht auf. Unsere Tochter war von der Landschaft, den Spaziergängen mit der Taschenlampe im Dunkeln, die Rufe des Kuckucks, die Entdeckung eines Igels und dessen Reaktion so fasziniert, .... dass sie jetzt immer noch davon spricht. Auch die vielen Ausflugsmöglichkeiten haben uns sehr viel Freude bereitet und wir können nur jedem empfehlen, bei Euch einen Aufenthalt zur Erholung zu verwirklichen, denn was gibt es schöneres als relaxten Urlaub bei Euch zu genießen. Nochmals vielen Dank für ALLES!

   Liebe Andrea und lieber Georg,
   wir möchten uns für die schöne Zeit bei Euch in Eurem Ferienhaus bedanken. Wir hatten zwei tolle Wochen mit viel Ruhe, Ausflüge und einen unvergesslichen Abend auf Eurem Hof. Wir hoffen im nächsten Jahr wieder Eure Gäste sein zu dürfen. Die besten Wünsche für Euch und wir können nur sagen das "Haus unterm Birnbaum" ist wirklich zu empfehlen, für alle die Ruhe lieben oder Kinder haben die gerne drausen spielen.

   Lieber Schoorsch, liebe Andrea,
   wir denken noch oft an die schöne Zeit in eurem gemütlichen Ferienhaus. Für jeden der Ruhe und Natur geniessen will, ist Sous le Poirier nur zu empfehlen! Eure Gastfreundschaft ist kaum zu überbieten. Mit Produkten von eurem Hof haben wir uns reichlich eingedeckt. Ebenfalls sehr empfehlenswert!    Liebe Andrea,
   den Urlaub in Eurem hübschen Ferienhaus haben wir so richtig genossen. Und mindestens genauso: Eure Gastfreundschaft und die tollen Produkte von Eurem Hof. Außerdem: Die schöne Landschaft, die Ruhe, blühende Orchideen ...
   Und vor allem: Zwei große Hunde und keine Probleme.
   Da wir öfter nach Frankreich reisen, werden wir Euch sicher noch das eine oder andere Mal besuchen!
