The Cottage
The bedrooms are on the ground floor:
Bedroom 1: double bed
Bedroom 2: double bed and single bed
Annexe:
Bedroom 3 / second sitting room with single bed and feather sofa/table and ensuite bathroom.
Bedroom 3 leads to bedroom 4 with small double bed and ensuite WC, bedroom 5 / playroom (upstairs): Spacious and light with double sofabed and single bed.
There are two bathrooms, both with showers and washbasins; three WCs in total.
The living space is on the 1st floor:
Kitchen / living room (large 7m x 5m) & dining: seating for 10: Gas hob, electric fan oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and coffeemaker.
Stable-door to private meadow via short external staircase. Dining chairs and table and sun umbrella; moveable barbeque. TV (English & French terrestrial channels only), DVD and radio/CD player. Wi-fi.
Special features
Smoking prohibited inside the house.
Stair gates are available on request.
Wonderful circular walks from cottage along pretty bridleways.
Nine hole golf course about 15 mins drive.
Beautiful forest just 5 mins drive with arboretum.
Apart from glorious beaches, one of which benefits from lifeguards in high season, the area is true Normandie bocage and offers wonderful walking/cycling adventures and picnicking.
In the nearby town there is a forest adventure trail for children.
We live on-site for any help with restaurants etc and can transport bikes from hire shop.

Location and surroundings
Electric heating in all rooms. Stairgates available on request. Stable door in living room doubles as stairgate to steps to garden.
Good parking area for 3 cars. Cottage L'Auvergne is situated at end of a lane serving one farm and our property. No through traffic. Garden area for guests' use only plus sun terrace with garden chairs/table, loungers and a barbecue.
Sheep may be in meadow. A grassed bank drops down into the entrance to L' Auvergne with parking area. Please note garden has steps.
Approximately 6 kms (15 mins drive) to nearest unspoilt clean sandy beaches. Lovely position for children to be able to explore along the little bridlepath. A wild country environment.
This is an ideal cottage for two families or grandparents and family.
