Location and surroundings
The Casa Giacomina is located in the beautiful Maggia Valley, ca. 12 km from Locarno. The River Maggia and the small waterfall can both be reached within a few minutes on foot.
Aurigeno is an idyllic village, which is also inhabited in winter. The baker comes every morning and one can enjoy simple meals in the small trattoria. It is an ideal starting point for small and big outings and rambles, or simply for lazing around. Various shopping opportunities, but also a bank, pharmacy and doctor are easy to reach.
Various exceptional restaurants and grotti, a swimming pool, tennis courts, opportunities for riding, climbing, etc. are also to be found close by in the surrounding area and are only waiting to be discovered!

Arrival
By car: Bellinzona motorway exit, through the tunnel in Locarno in the direction of Italy, then Valle Maggia, Ponte Brolla... before Maggia turn left over the bridge and left towards Aurigeno.
By train: To Locarno, then no. 10 bus [to] Valle Maggia, get off the bus by the bridge before Maggia, ca. 15 min walk.
