Villa Bottacin is located in the quarter of San Giovanni, just few bus-stops from the pedestrian zone. The Villa was designed and built in 1854 by the famous Swiss architect G. Bernardi for the botanist Nicolò Bottacin and restored in 2004 as residence. Villa Bottacin is surrounded by a beautiful garden with terrace and an unattended parking area. |

Very close you can enjoy walking or riding the bike in the park of San Giovanni and in the little wood called “Il Boschetto”. On the Carso tableland you can make many excursions of natural, spelaeologic, gastronomic and historical interest.

The position is very quiet and almost in the center of the town. It is allowed to eat on the terrace in front of the villa and at the pool. In the area there are many recommended restaurants loved by the "triestini".

Motorway A2 till Prosecco. Go on to Opicina and to the city-centre. After the university then turn left in via Cologna at the roundabout. At the end of via Cologna turn left in via Giulia. At the tobacconist’s at nr. 94 of via Giulia, turn left and go on to the right, till the sign Villa Bottacin. |
