Cottage, formal hunting lodge from 1934 with the comfort of today in the creek area Meetjesland - naturepark Doornendijk, a place for nature lovers and close the the historical towns of Bruges, Ghent and North Sea Coast.
Assenede is one of the oldest villages in Flanders Our charming cottage, 3 km from the village center is on a property of 800 sqm in the middel of a rural area and nature reserve Doornendijk and surrounded by dikes, papletrees and lakes. Several terraces overlooking the spectacular Flemish nature.
We offer you 2 double bedrooms - bathroom - kitchen - sittingsroom with books and information of the region, CD , DVD, HD TV, wifi internet
100% silence and you hear only your neigbours ( the birds ).

The willow-lined canals, lush green pastures and extensive soft, sandy dunes of Flanders need no introduction ; their beauty has been captured for centuries by some of the world's greatest artists. The Meetjesland, however is known only to a discerning few, yet it has much to offer anyone seeking peace and quiet.
So you can say back to nature, but don't forget the historical towns of Ghent 20 km - Bruges and Damme 40 km - Antwerp 40 km and the Dutsch North Sea coast 26 km are nearby. The area is also a paradise for cycling and walking.

Sehr schönes Cottage in guter Lage für Ausflüge

by U. Bohnert from KarlsruheBea und Henri sind sehr herzliche Gastgeber, die es einem an nichts fehlen lassen. Der Haushalt ist gut ausgestattet, der Garten sehr gepflegt.
Leider kann man vom Haus/Garten aus nicht auf den See schauen. Dieser ist weitgehend hinter einem Schilfgürtel und Baumreihen verborgen und in großen Teilen nur privat zugänglich. Am öffentlichen Ufer ist der See so verschmutzt, dass man dort nicht angeln kann. In der Umgebung gibt es aber Angelmöglichkeiten. Die Fahrradwege sind gut ausgeschildert, allerdings oft nicht der nächste Weg zum Ziel. Die Straßen sind voller Löcher (wie in vielen Gegenden Belgiens).
Vom Cottage aus ist man schnell in Holland und in Gent, auch Brügge, Antwerpen sind nicht weit weg.

Vielen Dank für die Bewertung unseres Cottage Doornendijk.
1) Unser Cottage ist mitten in einem Naturschutzgebiet, so ist das nicht erlaubt von Hauptstrasse bis unserem Cottage eine Strasse in Beton - Stein oder Asphalt und normal nicht erlaubt für Autoverkehr, aber allein zu benutzen bei Eigner und den Bewohner der beiden 2 Häuser im Naturschutzgebiet.
2) Dem Bucht (See) ist nicht verschmutzt, aber normal. Das Wasser in der Bucht ist nicht salzig oder süß, aber Brackwasser und hatten vorher gesagt, dass es viele Möglichkeiten zum Angeln auf "unserer" Bucht und haben auch persönlich, unsere private Bucht, um die Gäste gezeigt, wo es viele Angelmöglichkeiten gibt.. -
Ein kleines Paradies!

by Sabine Kienhöfer from D-47807 KrefeldWir waren nur für ein verlängertes Wochenende in dem ruhig und idyllisch gelegenen Chalet. Aber die Gastfreundschaft und Herzlichkeit der Besitzer und die Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit haben uns so begeistert, dass wir auf jeden Fall wiederkommen werden. Das Haus hat alles, was man sich nur denken kann und das macht es auch für einen Kurzaufenthalt so angenehm: man muss nichts mitnehmen - Alles ist da und liebevoll vorbereitet.
