Skiing in this area is possible up until and often after the Easter holidays. From the Eggishorn you have a magnificent view over the glacier and amazing views of the Matterhorn in Zermatt.
The area is famous because of its beautiful hiking and walking trails which are detailed fully in various maps. Delta gliding, paragliding, mountain biking and cross-country skiing are just
some of the other possibilities in this magnificent alpine region. The Goms is one of the largest cross-country skiing areas of Switzerland and there are various runs along the Rhone river.
A small train, which stops about 3 walking minutes from the chalet, will get you around very easily. You can hop in and out of this famous red train every 5 km during your tour
