Casa Girassol	The vacation rental Three wooden cabins shaded by cork oaks and eucalyptus trees: Casa Girassol, about 25 sqm, lounge with sofa bed and easy chair, bedroom with double bed (150 x 200 m), bathroom with tub. Casa Makeba, 1 room about 20 sqm, 2 beds, can be put together. Villa Kunterbunt, now permanently occupied. These 2 cabins share the separate shower/WC building. All cabins have sat.-TV (various international channels), fridge, coffee maker, toaster and share the small outside kitchen. All cabins have private terraces with seating and there is a big table for all. Sun beds, hammocks and a BBQ are there as well.
View over the cliffs	The surrounding area The farm is in the country at about 2 km from Odiáxere. Here, you can buy the basics. Lagos with its shops, bars and restaurants and the (sandy or rocky) beaches are about 7 km away. Monte Alto is an ideal starting point for many sports (horse riding, hiking, mountain biking, water sports, golf) and excusions. The wild west coast and the Monchique mountains can be reached within 45 min. by car. The dam is very close too. Historical cities like Lagos, Silves and Faro can be reached easily.
Riding	Activities On Monte Alto, we have 7 riding horses for lessons or rides/treks (only experienced riders). Maximum weight for riders: 75 kg. The above mentioned sports and many more can be practised in the region. Big hotels offer sauna/wellness etc. to day guests as well. You can also book various organised excusions. Bike rental, biking, fishing, golf, gym, hang-gliding, hiking, horse-back riding, hot springs, jogging, mountain hiking, paragliding, scuba diving, swimming, tennis, water park, water sports, windsurfing

Monte Alto is a farm with many animals, ideal for families. Children may camp out in a tent. It's on a hill, so maybe not suited for the elderly. Well behaved pets are welcome. We thank you not to smoke within the cabins.

Casa Makeba and Villa Kunterbunt cost 30 euro each when occupied by max. 2 persons, Casa Girassol costs 40 euro. From the third week I give a discount of 10 %. Prices for long term holidays or spending the winter on request. Pets depend on species. The final cleaning for the smaller cabins is 30 euros, for Casa Girassol 40 euros.
