The Apartments

The beautiful and traditional village Sivas, located in the South of Crete, is surrounded by true nature. Here, we built the so- called "Sigelakis Studios", which are comfortable apartments furnished in the warm greek style of this region. The apartments are equipped with a kitchen, refrigerator, television, music, air-condition, ample parking and last but not least a cosy fireplace.

Finally you should not miss out to taste one of the local and traditional dishes which you will find in our traditional tavern, "Tavern Sigelakis", located in the central square of the village.

Location and surroundings

It is, for instance, possible to make different excursions to one of the unique beaches such as the ones of Matala, Komos, Kalamaki, Kaloi Limenes, Agiofarago, Lentas, Agia Galini, or Preveli. The opportunity to swim is given at every single of the above mentioned beaches.
The area also offers a little insight in the Greek culture. If you are interested in antiquities you should not miss out to visit Festos, Agia Triada, Gortyna, Moni Odigitrias. Furthermore you should plan to visit the museum of Voroi or take a walk through the nice forest of Rouvas.

1. Kreta abseits vom Massentourismus

   Als langjährige Kretaurlauber wird es immer schwerer noch Plätze zu finden, an denen der Massentourismus noch nicht Einzug gefunden hat.
   Heuer waren wir in Sivas in den Apartments/Studios Sigelakis 2 Wochen zu Gast.
   Wer Ruhe, Erholung und das "echte Kreta" sucht ist hier richtig:
   Die gepflegte Anlage liegt 3 Gehminuten außerhalb des kleinen Ortes Sivas inmitten der Natur. Umgeben von schattigen Olivenbäumen und Blumen findet man hier jede Menge Ruhe und Beschaulichkeit. Die Studios sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber.
   Der Komfort kommt auch nicht zu kurz: Klimaanlage, TV, gut ausgestatte Küche und sogar freier Internetzugang. Der Besitzer, Georges Sigelakis betreibt im Ort eine kleine Taverne mit guter, authentischer griech.Küche zu sehr moderaten Preisen. Er kümmert sich in seiner dezenten, freundlichen Art ständig darum, dass die Gäste zufrieden sind.
   Wir können sowohl Sivas, die Studios und auch das Restaurant Sigelakis uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

   Nachdem von den 7 Studios nur eines in der schönen Steinbauweise ist, waren wir zunächst etwas enttäuscht. Allerdings was das Apartment sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sowohl die Kochgelegenheit, als auch das Bad ließen keine Wünsche übrig. Die Dorfjugend stört die idyllische Ruhe teilweise mit den lauten Mopets, aber ansonsten ist es wirklich schön.
   Herr Sigelakis bemüht sich sehr höflich um alle Belange und sit absolut hilfsbereit.
   Die Räume werden alle 3 Tage tipp topp geputzt und es gibt neue Wäsche.
   Alles in Allem sehr angenehm!

   wir haben uns im appartment/studio sigalkis sehr wohl gefühlt!!!
   haus und gegend sind hübsch! bis auf ziegengemecker und vogelgezwitscher ist es total ruhig! absolut idyllisch!!
   herr sigelakis ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit- ohne aufdringlich zu sein.
   das essen in seiner taverne ist übrigens ebenfalls sehr empfehlenswert...wir werden irgendwann noch einmal hinfahren!!
