The vacation rental
You will be our guests in an old traditional reign house (VISCONTI Clan from Milano) in Onsernone Valley with very thick walls of granite and with a lot of embrasures, which makes you think of eventful time. The ceilings made of massive beams from chestnut wood and some other units concerning in granite were done by skillful craftsmen at that time, which shows you the feeling of admiration.
That ancient house, built probably in 1626, is renovated with care and well-equipped with all the comfort in the years of 2002-2003.
All of our studios and our apartment have either a balcony or a pergola in the open air. They have from 1 to 4 beds with a cooking facilities, a refrigerator, a coffee-machine, a bathroom and an antique fireplace. |

The surrounding area
There are some big sunny platforms in Onsernone Valley which were formed in the Ice Age are nowadays occupied by a lot of picturesque villages. One of these villages is Loco.
Thanks to the East-West orientation and the position of the villages, lying on the top of southern slope of the mountain, Onsernone Valley is particularly sunny, especially in winter. On the shortest day of the year, the sun shines up to 7 hours. That climate, specially mild, is reflected by the vegetation and also by the Mediterranean in spite of the altitude of 691 meters. A panorama is characterized by the palms, the vineyards, the mimosas, the fig trees, the cactus and naturally the chestnut trees everywhere.
