The surrounding area
Frutigen is situated on the Berne-Lötschberg-Brig-Domodossola rail route at 800 m above sea level, and is a large, centrally located mountain village offering shopping facilities. The well-known locations of Kandersteg, Adelboden and Interlaken are all within a 20-minute drive. Frutigen is an ideal hiking area. Skiing: Frutigen-Elsigenalp, Adelboden/Lenk, Kandersteg.
There are a playground and playing field for children near to the holiday apartment. Frutigen has a sports centre, an indoor swimming pool, an outdoor swimming pool, a sauna, riding facilities, tennis, etc.

For those interested in water sports, the lakes of Thun and Brienz are 15 and 25 minutes’ drive respectively. Salt water outdoor pool at the Lake of Thun. Various mountain railways in Kandersteg and Adelboden and up the Niesen Mountain.

Travel information
Motorway Bern-Thun-Spiez. Before the Spiez motorway intersection, get into lane for Kandersteg/Adelboden/Frutigen. Follow the road to Frutigen. At the Frutigen exit, turn off left (following the white sign marked "Kanderbrück"), continue for about 100 m, then take a right (following the sign marked "Kanderbrück") until you reach a crossroads, take a sharp right into Isliweg. |
