The vacation rental
Created from three stables, Chèvrefeuille is a large, spacious gîte designed to accommodate 6/7 people in comfort. It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room with wood-burning stove and kitchen area. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor and has an en-suite showeroom equipped for wheelchair users. Upstairs are two further bedrooms, a shower room and separate toilet. The gite now has full oil-fired central heating. The gîte is accessible to wheelchair users and has been inspected and approved by the Association des Paralysés de France.
The gîte has a washing machine and TV.
Outside is a large stone patio area with a table and benches. Comfortable garden chairs and a barbecue are provided. |

The surrounding area
We are situated in the heart of beautiful, peaceful countryside, about 45 mins from Cherbourg on the west coast of the Cotentin peninsula. We have three self-catering cottages (Gîtes) - Stable Cottage, Chèvrefeuille and Jasmin, all of which are described later. Our farm is a veritable haven of peace and tranquillity where children can play in safety. We are only 6km from beautiful sandy beaches, and ideally placed for visiting Mont St Michel, Bayeux, and the Landing Beaches. The attractive market town of La Haye du Puits, 8km away, has all the shops you need, including two supermarkets. If you are a fan of French street markets there is one available every day within easy driving distance.
We have swings and cycles available to all.

Travel information
ROUTE FROM CAEN TO ST NICOLAS DE PIERREPONT
Once you are on the Caen by-pass you should follow the signs to Cherbourg and Bayeux. You will eventually find yourself on the RN13, a dual carriageway. You will bypass Bayeux, keeping on road to Cherbourg. Later on you will go through an underpass just before you see the exit marked BARNEVILLE-CARTERET which you should take (D971). This will take you to a roundabout which you go straight over. Keep on this road. You will pass the cattle market on your right. In about a mile (2km) further on, turn right on to the D903 marked La Haye du Puits. At traffic lights in the town (La Haye du Puits) turn right, then left at roundabout in front of church on to Barneville-Carteret road. At Bolleville, turn right to St Nicolas de Pierrepont (D127) and after 3kms turn left just before the church and our drive is on the right at the end of the church wall. |
