Locarno features lots of cultural events (Film festival, teatro Dimitri in Verscio, Musical Festicals in the Maggia Vally, Locarno and Ascona). Swimming in the near Maggia, walking in the mountains, hiking and biking, Golf in Ascona, riding in the close neighbourhoud.
In the winter the skiing resort Bosco Gurin can be reached within 1 hour.
