Front of the house	The vacation rental La Mosella was a farmhouse and is situated in a quiet position on the outskirts of the village of Riol, only 14 kilometres from Trier. You live alone in this house. Within view are the slopes of the vineyards and the river Mosel, only 300 metres away, offers the possibility of fishing, water sports etc. The Mosel cycle path is directly accessible from the house. From a terrace which is not overlooked from the street you can barbecue, drink coffee or let your children play. Shops, pubs and restaurants are available in the vicinity.
Moselle to Riol with wine-mountains	The surrounding area Riol is a small village on the Mosel with approximately 1100 inhabitants. Life here is very influenced by wine growing and you can try and buy in romantic and cosy wine tasting bars and caverns. Riol has Germany’s “beautiful village” competition on several occasions. There are countless leisure possibilities. In Trier, Germany’s oldest city, you can visit: the Roman Emperor’s Baths, the Porta-Nigra (Roman city gate) the cathedral and the Emperors Palace. You will also find the birth house of our most well known citizen Karl Marx, who was born and spent his childhood and youth here. Our neighbours Luxemburg and France are just a few kilometres away.

Coming from Cologne on the motorway A1, take the exit Trier/Schweich then leave the motorway directly via the exit Lonquich/Fell and take the road in the direction of Lonquich, continuing straight ahead for approximately 2 km to Riol.
