Located in the best area of Funchal, a precious green hill west of Madeira’s capital, with the sea in front, Casa do Papagaio is waiting for your visit for well deserved holidays.
This house is in perfect harmony with mother nature, the style of the decor, in its relationship with the surrounding environment and the intimacy with all its clients.
The studio is large with sea view and with excellent solar exposition. At the studio there is an ensuite bathrooms with toilets and a Cable television.

Extra common television room, wireless internet, living room, dining area, piano and garden with garden chairs and sunshade either in garden or porch.
Pets are allowed. There is a swimming pool with sun chairs, laundry service, regular linen changes and bed sheets and towels are always included.

This property also has 2 more studios and one apartment with separate beds and where is possible to lodge 2 people in a sofa.
Once you arrive at the Casa do Papagaio you will have a chance to reserve dinner or any meals. The meals at the Casa do Papagaio are based on a selection of the traditional Portuguese food.
Clients have the choice of fish, meat or chicken. The dinner menu consists of an entrée soup made from our home grown vegetables, the main course and desert which is also homemade.

Location and surroundings
Casa do Papagaio is surrounded by flowers, gardens, colours, even the swimming pool looks like paradise, inviting all guests to relax in the sun and in peace with mother nature.
There are excellent levada walks like the secular Levada dos Piornais, taking water from Funchal to the more western areas. This levada is situated at the bottom of the hotels land.

Levada Walks
Arrival
Leave the airport in a southwesterly direction. There are signs pointing towards Funchal. Follow these. You must stay on the highway. It is the only one from the airport towards Funchal.
Keep an eye out for the kilometer signs on the highway. When you see the sign of 12 Kilometers prepare yourself to turn to Santa Rita. This is where you will turn off into the direction of “Santa Rita-Arieiro” on the right. That is, towards the area of Funchal called “Santa Rita - Arieiro”. Exit number 7.
When you get off the highway or “Via Rápida” turn right again, and continue driving on. You will come to a street sign pointing to Funchal.
DO NOT TAKE THIS direction sign for Funchal! Just keep on going straight ahead.
You will pass a warehouse made from metal, turn right immediately and pass underneath the “via rápida” – (this is, you pass under the same highway you just used to get from the aitport to Funchal, here you will also see the Marconi satellite dish).
Ahead of you, you will arrive at a sign indicating the “Casa do Papagaio Verde”. Turn left, and then continue driving untill you find the next sign saying “Casa do Papagaio Verde”. You will see this sign when the road forks into two. Go down that road, continue past this sign and immediately after you will find the road.
It is right there at the beginning of the road (called “Travessa do Papagaio Verde”) at the door Nº 31 that you will find the accommodation “A Casa do Papagaio Verde”.
