The Holiday House

Welcome to our beautiful holiday-home with fantastic views in unobstructed location.

The house consists of 3 floors:

Downstairs: living/dining room with beautiful views and comfortable furniture, TV/computer room, kitchen with dishwasher and all necessary utilities for your comfort, utility room with washing machine and clothes dryer. Separate guest toilet and garderobe.

Upstairs: 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with toilet. On the second floor there is an additional bedroom.

Furthermore there are garage, large terrace in front of the house and another terrace bordering the swimming pool, garden with spectacular views.

The location of Bruis makes it possible to visit many interesting sites and local markets by making easy day trips.

Orange, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, Vaison La Romaine and many more small towns and provencal villages within a short distance.

Location and surroundings

The house is south-facing, with plenty of shade on grounds of 1000 m². Surrounded by fields, so very private with no immediate neighbours and very little traffic.

Beautiful valley on the border of Les Hautes Alpes and the Drome provencal. The house is located on the outskirts of the small village of Bruis in the valley of the river L'Oule.

Bruis is approx. 60 km west of Gap and approx 60 km east of Nyons. This unspoilt valley has not yet been discovered by tourists. It is an ideal location for a quiet holiday especially for nature lovers. There are numerous possibilities for hiking, biking, sunbathing and stargazing.

There are also interesting geological sites in the area. Also it is convenient for doing wine, fruit and lavender tours. The climate is temperate, warm during daytime and cool at night. Therefore there is not need for air-conditioning.

There are 2 bicycles at your disposal. The area is very good for experienced cyclists. It is quite hilly, so a lot of stamina is required. There are also good and well indicated hiking tracks.

Arrival

Arriving by car from direction Lyon: keep following motorway direction Marseille till Valence-sud. Exit and take direction Gap, follow through Crest and Die till approx. 15 km after Die you come to a sign La Motte Chalancon to the right.

Follow this road till you arrive at La Charce, there Bruis is indicated. Go through Bruis till you see a sign Le Teront on your right approx. 350 m after leaving Bruis.

Coming from Grenoble follow direction Serres, in Serres follow direction Orange. After L'Epine (approx. 12 km after Serres) take direction Col des Tourettes on your right. Follow through Montmorin after approx. 3 km you will see a sign Le Teront on your right. First house on your left. Easy to recognize from the pictures.

    We just loved the surroundings, house is located in wonderful area. Has everything one could need. Typical french villages that have not been spoilt by tourism. Well recommended.

    Very nicely decorated house. I felt at home right away. Beautiful garden and refreshing swimming pool. Great views. Walking possibilities for hiking, nice villages for a visit.
