The surrounding area
In the very east of the contry, where Germany shares its borders with Poland and Czechoslovakia to form the so-called Tristate corner, is located the Zittauer Gebirge. Sharp rocks, steep mountains, and picturesque valleys define the charakter of the lovely countryside, wich has its highest point on top of the 800 m Lausche. Located at the bottom of the lush green meadows of the mountain Lausche, amidst the woods, is Saxony´s largest vacation resort, which expands over a 15 hectares large area.
