	The vacation rental Vacation with comfort. Matala Valley Villa with it's spacious living area can easily host up to 6 guests. There are two double sized bedrooms, one double and one twin. There is a large open plan living and dining room with doors leading into the garden, the covered veranda and the terrace. In the lounge area there is a kitchen fully fitted with microwave, full sized electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, toaster, kettle etc. and a washing machine. The living area has a double sized futon sofa for additional sleeping of 2 extra persons, furthermore Sat TV and VCR. Please note that all areas of Matala Valley Villa are air conditioned and all windows are equipped with mosquito nets. There is a communal pool as well as a children pool.
	The surrounding area Matala is famous for it's history. Here the Romans hit impressive grave caves into the rock and inside of these caves the hippies founded their alternative eldorado in the sixties of the last century. Matala is a lively and quiet place today. Numerous tavern and bars are to be found at the beautiful fine gravel and sandy beach. You can, however, relax next to the busy Matala bay on wider impressive beaches. Example: the romantic "Red Beach", which can be reached over a mountain path. Or the neighbouring, altogether 14 km long "Komo Beach", which is only a few minutes away by car. It is only 10 minutes by car to Phaistos, the old Minoan Palace. Gortis, the former Roman metropolis of Crete .
