Location and surroundings
Situated on Melanouri Hill above the village of Pitsidia, the apartment itself offers a great view of the Ida Mountains.
To the village square with tavernas, kafeneions and Mom and Pop shops, a bakery and the butcher it's just a short walk of max. 10 min.
The undeveloped Komo Beach - one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in Crete - can be reached through the adjacent vineyards and dunes on foot in 20 min!
If you like crowds, you can reach Matala with its famous caves within a distance of 4 km!

Arrival
Pitsidia is located 70 km southwest of Iraklio. From the airport you will get through in less than one and a half hours. Starting at Iraklio airport drive about 1.5 km and follow the motorway-like "New Road " towards Rethymno/Chania. After only about 5.5 km you leave the " New Road " at exit " Moires".
Shortly after you leave the suburbs of Iraklio. On the mostly newly built road you will reach in Agia Varvara the highest point on the route. Now it is going down to Moires, passing Ag. Deka and the ancient archaeological site of Gortys.
In Moires simply follow the signs to Matala. About 3 km south of Moires the road to Matala branches on the right. Passing Petrokefali you'll reach Pitsidia after about 8 km.
