The Holiday House
This is a new vacation house built in the traditional Moorish style on a hillside in the town of Benalup. It has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, a kitchen, living/dining room, internal patio garden and a large roof terrace with spectacular views of the countryside looking south.
The house is in town, but on a small quiet street. There is an open fire, and portable heaters, but the house uses Moorish building methods to stay cool in summer and warm in winter. It is used as a writing retreat for the owner, and is very comfortable.
There are windows in every room, and beautiful views and a sense of spaciousness and calm throughout.
Special features
The house' s best feature is the roof terrace, and the spectacular views.
Inside it is large and spacious, and all the bedrooms are roomy.
The house has all modern conveniences including modern oven, range, refrigerator, dishwasher, laundry machine.

Location and surroundings
The vacation house is in the town, in walking distance to shops, cafes and restaurants. Benalup is a friendly town of about 8,000 people. The town has an outdoor pool which is open all summer, and many local fiestas and cultural activities.
The ocean and the famous Atlantic beaches of Cadiz province are half an hour's drive away. The town is on the edge of a national park. There are many hiking routes nearby, and the Corredor Verde hiking trail passes right by the town.
On the Atlantic beaches, all kinds of surfing are popular - kite surfing, windsurfing, board surfing and body surfing, as well as swimming and sunbathing. In the town of Benalup, there are plenty of pleasant cafes, bars and restaurants.

There is a five star golf hotel in the town where one can play golf.
The beaches of Cadiz have kitesurfing, windsurfing and board surfing, as well as swimming and sunbathing. The nearest beach is El Palmar and Tarifa, Canos de Meca, Trafalgar Conil and Chiclana are all within an hour's drive.
Jerez is an hour away, Seville is under two hours.

Arrival
From Jerez Airport, it's a one hour drive. Take the AP 4, to the A381, and follow the exit for Benalup. Follow signs to Benalup on the A2228 then the A226.
From Seville Airport it's a one hour 45 minute drive. Take the A4 to the A381, and follow the exit for Benalup as above.
From Gibraltar Airport, it's just under an hour's drive. Take the E15 to the A381, and take the exit for Benalup on the A2226.
From Malaga Airport, it's a two hour drive. Take the AP7 along the coast nearly to Algeciras, then take the A381, and then follow the signs for Benalup on the A2226.
