Location and surroundings
Set on 2000 acre estate and surrounded by ancient oak woodlands - a bird watcher/nature lovers paradise - Carregfelen promises total seclusion, whilst only a short drive to the pretty seaside town of Criccieth (with its splendid castle) and the harbour at Porthmadog.
The terraced gardens with mini topiary and pretty rose trees are a delight. In front of the house is a paved area (with views of Moel y Gest) with BBQ, slate topped table and benches . There are large lawns and an orchard bursting with fruit trees.
There is even a private trout stocked lake which you are welcome to fish. This is the ideal base from which to explore the very best of Snowdonia.

I am a sculptor, based mostly in Cumbria, but my family history is in North Wales and Carregfelen was the family home for generations. My great uncle, Clough Williams-Ellis, designed the Italianate village of Portmeirion.
