The Holiday house

Our holiday house with 105 sq m living space is rated with 5 stars and is perfectly suited for 2 to 4 guests, also for small families. You can bring your dog, too. The timber-framed holiday house is in mint condition and rented since May 2011. It was completely renovated and newly furnished.

A large pond with footbridge is attached to the spacious south-facing terrace that is at our holiday guests' disposal only. The sun-drenched living room has a lovely view to the pond and the lush planting.
There is a sitting area, flat screen TV and a reading corner with desk.

The stairs lead to the top floor with two bedrooms (15 sqm). One of them is a double, the other one a twin bedroom. Cots can be provided upon request.

There is a small bathroom with tub, washbasin and toilet on the upper floor. Another bathroom with walk-in shower is on the ground level.

The kitchen is completely furnished and provides everything you need, such as stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine etc. There are a washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer are in the utility room.

Location and surroundings

Thanks to the central location between the cities of Hamburg and Bremen amidst the Elbe-Weser-Triangle, there is a wide range of leisure activities.

You should not miss a city trip to Hamburg to see the Hafencity with fish market, Speicherstadt, the Binnenalster (river), Hagenbeck Zoo, and musicals such as The Lion King and Tarzan. We also recommend visiting Bremen (Schnoor district, Weser promenade). You reach both cities within 30 to 40 minutes via the nearby Autobahn A1.

The area Altes Land and the pretty old towns of Buxtehude and Stade are approx. 30 to 40 km away, so are the Lüneburg Heath and the artist village Worpswede. Timmendorfer Strand at the Baltic Sea as well as Cuxhaven at the North Sea are 75 minutes from here.

Arrival

Coming from Hamburg:
Autobahn A1 Hamburg to Bremen, take exit 47 in Sittensen, go straight across the intersection onto the ring road towards Zeven - Hansestraße - Eckerworth - turn right at the end of the road onto the Lindenstraße (L142) towards Zeven until you reach Groß Meckelsen. Turn right at the intersection to Klein Meckelsen and go straight for 1.8 km until you reach Dorfstraße 15 on your left (opposite from 'Gasthaus Klein Meckelsen').

Coming from Bremen:
Autobahn A1 Bremen to Hamburg, take exit 49 in Bockel, turn left towards Bremervörde onto Bockeler Landstraße (B71) up to Gyhum-Sick, then turn right to Elsdorf/Gyhum. In Elsdorf, turn left at the end of Molkerreistraße (K126) into Kirchweg and turn right after approx. 400 m into Mühlenstraße (K 126) to Sittensen/Rüspel. Continue to the intersection Groß Meckelsen/Kuhmühlen and turn right to Sittensen (L142) up to the intersection at the entrance to Groß Meckelsen where you turn left to Klein Meckelsen. Continue for 1.8 km until you reach Dorfstraße 15 on your left.

   Ruhe, schöne Laufwege, ein wohliges und schickes Ambiente, mit bester Ausstattung, tollem Service, sehr netten Vermietern.....
   
   Wer Ruhe und Erholung suchst, ist dort bestens aufgehoben!
   Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden gerne beim nächsten Mal diese wunderschöne Terrasse mit Teich genießen dürfen. Ein Lob an Ihre Ausstattung Fam. Rievesehl!
   
   Es gibt nur sehr selten Ferienhäuser, in denen alles für das alltägliche Leben bereit steht (von der Küchenrolle über Putzmittel, ausreichend Bügel, Kaffee, Kerzen, qualitativ hochwertige Küchengeräte, Fön.... und, und, und...sehr originell fanden wir die Hundehandtücher parat im Eingangsbereich! Alles Dinge, die das Leben und diesen Urlaubsaufenthalt sehr angenehm gestalten)
   
   Es war ganz leicht, sich rundum wohl zu fühlen....

   Ein wunderschönes, sehr gepflegtes Häuschen.
   Für Erholungssuchende unbedingt zu empfehlen!!
   
   Leider hat der Ort selber nichts zu bieten, aber mit dem Auto kann man schnell z.B. Stade, Bremervörde, Hamburg usw...
   erreichen. Wir haben uns mit unserem Hund jedenfalls sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt.
   Ein Dankeschön an unsere netten Gastgeber, die sich wirklich bemühen das es einem an nichts fehlt.
   Ich hoffe das wir nochmals in den Genuss kommen und nochmals ein paar wunderschöne Tage dort verbringen können.

   Kleines Traumhaus in wunderschöner Lage. Supernette Leute, kilometerlange Wanderwege. Das Haus ist genauso toll wie auf den Fotos, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, blitzblank sauber, voll ausgestattet, Hunde sind herzlich willkommen! Die Umgebung ist wunderschön, man sollte nur darauf eingestellt sein, dass außer Feldern, Wiesen und ein paar anderen Häusern rein gar nichts in fußläufiger Umgebung liegt, nichtmal ein Bäcker (den man nicht braucht, da man die Brötchen auf Wunsch morgens an die Haustür geliefert bekommt) oder Kiosk. Einkaufen, bummeln - man braucht immer das Auto! Wen das nicht stört und wer Ruhe genießen möchte, der wird sich hier im Paradies wiederfinden.
