The Holiday house

Our cosy holiday house is located in Stiege in the Harz Mountains region, set in a gentle hillside location and offering views of the Stieger Lake. The highlights of the house, which was fully renovated in 2001 and 2002, are the wooden terrace of approximately 60 sq. metres, the enormous original style cosy wood burning stove (free firewood) and the massive picture window, providing views of the lake even on cold days. The 950 sq. metre site is completely fenced in, giving plenty of space for your four-legged friends to run around in. There is a gate right at the lakeside, providing access to the footpath around the lake as well as to the network of footpaths across the Harz region. Location and surroundings

The small Harz town of Stiege (approx. 500 above sea level) is set in the heart of the Harz Mountains region. Stiege has a well-developed tourist industry and a delightful location alongside the Bode and Rappbode reservoir. Well known as a health resort on account of its bracing climate, it offers an unforgettable experience for everyone seeking a relaxing or an active holiday in the natural surroundings of the Harz region. Stiege offers nature in its purest form – extensive woodland surroundings, the Rappbode valley reservoir, the romanticism of the Bode valley and many an idyllic spot for a walker to pause and commune with his soul.

   Auch bei schlechtem Wetter kann man vom Haus aus schöne Unternehmungen machen. Im Harz sind die Entfernungen nicht groß und die Lodge liegt fast ideal. Auch bei Regenwetter kann man es sich gemütlich machen und den Kaminofen anheizen. Bei schönem Wetter sind die Abende auf der Terrasse herrlich. Die Ausstattung ist ok, An- und Abreise erfolgt entspannt und ohne Zeitdruck. Wir fühlten uns wohl und können das Haus nur wärmstens empfehlen.

   Wir waren im März mit unserer Tochter (5 Jahre) zu Gast im Haus. Es war ein tolles Wochenende. Das Haus ist wunderschön, aus Holz und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, einfach urgemütlich, es ist alles da, was man braucht, die Aussicht ist der Wahnsinn und die Umgebung einfach nur traumhaft. Es gibt so viel zu erleben, dass man sich gar nicht entscheiden kann. Der See ist direkt vor der Tür. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis top und sehr nette Vermieter. Danke für den schönen Urlaub! :-)

   Ein Zweckmäßig eingerichteter Bungalow, sehr großzügige Terrasse und praktisch mitten in der Natur gelegen. Sehr angenehm ist der Ofen, wir hatten wohl die regnerischste Zeit im Jahr erwischt und nutzen diese Wärme gemeinsam mit unseren Freunden bei den Spieleabenden. Wer allerdings viel Platz zum schlafen braucht, wird hier seine Grenzen erkennen. 1,40 m breite Betten für zwei Erwachsene wird zum Zwangskuscheln verdonnert ;-)
   
   Alles zusammen betrachtet eine sehr erholsame Woche und auf jeden Fall weiter zu empfehlen.
