The Holiday House
In southern Småland, in the idyllic wood craft town Gullabo, district Torsas, close to the old port Kalmar with the historic castle and the Kalmarsund Bridge, which connects the mainland with the island of Öland, and Karlskrona, the town of Nils Holgersson, is our red and white wooden stuga set amidst the steeped in legend Småland forest ("Nils Dacke" - the Swedish Robin Hood).
Despite its location in the forest the holiday house lies on a hilly clearing in a sunny position, next to the road that connects Gullabo with Degerhyltan.
The property, with meadows, old fruit trees, pine trees and birches, has a size of 6,000 sqm.
This is perfect to enjoy the sun, playing, barbecue or just to relax and listen to the rustling of the treetops and enjoy the peacefulness.

Location and surroundings
The natural forest which is criss-crossed by lumps of rock invites for hiking and exploring the area.

The centre of Gullabo is approx. 1 km away. Gullabo has about 400 inhabitants, a small grocery, a Värdshus (pub), a church, a library and a school. Gullabo is the centre of wood craft (slöjd). Småland is also known for its glassworks (Orrefors, Boda and others). The zoo Grönasens Älgpark and Astrid-Lindgrens-Värld in Vimmerby are nearby.
The lake "Iglasjön" is romantically located in the woods and can be reached within 20 minutes by car. The Baltic Sea with several beaches (Bergkvara and others) is approx. 30 minutes away.

Arrival
By car: take the ferry TT-Line from Travemünde to Trelleborg, then to Karlskrona and via the road 28 towards Vätlanda, exit in Nävragöl towards Bidalite and follow the signs to Gullabo.
You can also take the Øresund Bridge between Copenhagen and Malmö.
