The Holiday House

Our holiday house offers two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms on the upper floor.
On the ground floor there is a comfortable sitting room, where a hearty breakfast with a variety of fresh bread awaits you every morning.

There is also a pantry filled with regional products (wine, tea, noodles, pumpkin seed oil, etc.), sanitary facilities and a laundry room equipped with a washing machine. A sauna and a relaxation room with panoramic views can be found in the basement.

Generous glass surfaces provide the rooms with light and transparency. At the same time, we devoted particular attention to the use of traditional construction materials. Hence, the character of a typical farmhouse in Southern Styria is retained and pervades every corner of the house…

When entering the individual rooms, you will immediately be taken by their harmonious atmosphere. Natural stones, old bricks and earthy tones create warmth and a feeling of comfort throughout the house.

The relaxation room with its panoramic views of the surrounding hills and the valley lets you enjoy the unique beauty of Southern Styria’s winegrowing region.

Additional amenities

Loft:
The basic furnishings include beds with freshly changed sheets as well as hand and shower towels in the bathrooms. Bath robes can be found in the built-in wardrobe in the entry room.

Ground floor:
The combined kitchen/living room is equipped with a coffee machine plus coffee, an electric kettle, an egg boiler, a dishwasher, an electric cooker with an oven and extractor hood, a fridge, a hand-held blender, a toaster, cutlery, plates, pots and pans, coffee sets, different types of glasses and all kinds of kitchen tools. You will also find a radio with CD-player, a TV and a games console. A tiled stove provides pleasant warmth on cool days.
There is also a wine store equipped with regional wines.

Basement:
Sauna towels are available for your sauna sessions. You can also find a variety of essential oils for celebrating the “Aufguss” (pouring scented water on the hot stones and waving a towel to circulate the hot steam).

Location and surroundings

The winegrowing region of Southern Styria is also a nature park called “Naturpark Südsteirisches Weinland”. It’s one of the most beautiful corners of Austria. The people and the landscape, the wines and the cuisine, modern and historically grown architecture, events and rituals, lifestyle and traditions excel themselves over and over again.

Gourmets and epicures with their own well-being in mind consciously let things happen as they may and don’t need a concept to enjoy a relaxed holiday amidst the magnificent scenery of a nature park.

Arrival

Coming from Graz, leave the A9 Phyrn Autobahn towards Slovenia at the Leibnitz exit (214). Next, take the B74 Sulmtal Straße until you reach Heimschuh. Turn left at the Shell petrol station and head towards Arnfels, passing Großklein, until you reach Gündorf. Turn left at the end of Gündorf and drive up Ratzberg hill for approximately 1 kilometre (0.62 miles).
