The vacation rental
Dalhougal House is for the discerning- the house and adjoining apartments are over 200 years old. The apartments have low ceilings, sloping floors, squeaky floorboards and are fully of character. They have recently been refurbished to a very high standard of comfort, have traditional furniture and an ambience suited to those discerning guests.
Dalhougal is situated in the centre of Croftamie which is a typical small Scottish village. We are within the new Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park with all the new attractions. We have a secluded garden overlooking fields. There are lots of interesting walks and cycle track, and there are two golf courses within two miles. Our guests have free fishing on the River Endrick. This is an excellent base for discovering Central Scotland.
The stair to Nell's Apartment was originally outside and the turret was added about a hundred years ago. Both apartments are of traditional Scottish design with a lot of character. There is a secluded garden to the rear of the apartments where there are views to Ben Lomond and the Campsie Fells.
Nell's Apartment
Nell's apartment is on the upper right side of the picture (at top of page) and has an entrance up the stair within the turret.
It has a twin bedroom, a double bedroom, sleeping four very comfortably.
A lounge/dining room.
A fully fitted kitchen.
A bathroom with a shower over the bath.
Facilities
The apartment is equipped with a fridge, microwave oven, washer/dryer, electric cooker, toaster, iron, colour television/VCR and hair dryer and has gas central heating. There is an additional electric fire in the lounge.
Electricity and Gas are included in the price from April till September. A charge of £15 per week is made from October till March.
All bedding and towels are provided. The beds have modern duvets and extra blankets are available on request. A cot can be made available if required. The garden area is shared between the two flats. Ample tables and chairs are provided in the garden for the use of guests.
We provide a breakfast package to welcome you on your first morning. In consideration of all our guests we do not allow pets and the apartments are nonsmoking.

The Garden apartment has a front and back door, a twin bedroom, and a double bedroom which sleeps four very comfortably. A nice lounge to relax in plus dining room and fully fitted kitchen make up the living accommodation and there is also a shower room/toilet, too.
The apartment is equipped with a fridge, microwave oven, washer/dryer, electric cooker, toaster, iron, colour television/VCR and hair dryer. There are electric night-store heaters plus an additional electric fire in the lounge.
