The Holiday Apartment
Our holiday apartment with 90 sqm is located in the heart of the idyllic town Brotterode in the Thuringian Forest (approx. 4 km to the Rennsteig). The apartment is rated with 4 stars by the German tourism association.
The apartment is set on the ground level and is equipped with living room (dining area, cable tv, radio), 2 double bedrooms that are suitable for senior citizens, a complete kitchen, 1 bathroom with shower and toilet and 1 bathroom with shower, tub and toilet.
Even a sauna is available.
There are shopping facilities, restaurants, an indoor swimming pool, cross-county skiing slopes, alpine skiing with lift, ice-rink and the forest close-by.

The health resort Brotterode (620 mtr. altitude) is close to the Rennsteig, the probably most famous hiking trail in Germany, amidst an attractive mountainous region at the southern slope of the Thuringian Forest.
The mountain Große Inselberg with 916 mtr above sea level is a significant landmark of the town.
The central location makes the vacation-apartment a good starting point for hikes on the Rennsteig (e. g. from Hörschel to Oberhof), for winter hiking trails, cross-country skiing slopes (e. g. Inselberg, Trusetaler Wasserfall, dry tobogganing run...) and trips to the cultural sights of Thuringian. This might be the cathedral and Krämerbrücke in Erfurt, the Wartburg castle and Bach house in Eisenach as well as the castle Elisabethenburg in Meiningen.

Trotz Nov. hat uns das Wetter mit Sonnenschein verwöhnt,aber auch die mit Eiskristallen verzauberte Vegetation auf den Inselberg hat uns beeindruckt. Einen herzlichen Dank an die Gasteltern. Wir haben uns in der vorbildlichen und sehr geräumiger Ferienwohnung sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt.
Wir können die Ferienwohnung und die tolle Gastfreundschaft nur weiter empfehlen. -

Der Aufenthalt in der sehr schönen Wohnung,die vorbildliche Gastfreundschaft und der Service ist ausgezeichnet.
