The Residence

Our vacation residence is situated in a calm region and lies embedded in a hillside at 150m above the "Lago Maggiore" (Lake Maggiore). Residenza Viramonte offers you an unique panoramic view over the lake. Enjoy moments of relaxation while watching romantic sunsets and the lake’s glittering beauty at night.

Residenzia Viramonte was officially opened on 1. of October 1981. Since then, a whole lot of guests spend restful and eventful holidays at our residence.

All of the vacation apartments are condominiums and therefore differently and individually equipped.
Our 1 to 3- room vacation apartments are suitable for an occupancy of up to 5 persons.

Mr. and Mrs. Balzarani and their team welcome you and are very glad to help you with all your questions and concerns during the whole time of your vacation.

Within the vacation residence you can also find a little shop, a breakfast room, access to the internet a swimming pool (20x8m) which is open from mid-may until mid-semptember, a lawn for sunbathing, sunloungers and sunshades.

Location and surroundings

The "Gambarogno Riviera", with its typical Ticinese villages, extends for about 10 kilometres on the left shores of Lake Maggiore up to the Italian border. The area itself begins in Contone, at the foot of Monte Ceneri and includes part of the Magadino Plain, as well as the famous “Bolle di Magadino” (Magadino Ponds), at the mouth of the Ticino river.

The Riviera and the incomparable "Bolle die Magadino" are well known for its cultural goods and culinary surprises. In this region, you can practice almost any kind of sport, discover the rare flora and flauna or just relax and take a break from everyday life.....

The municipality "Vira" is one of the numerous pearls at the Lago Maggiore. It has a typically and authentic village with old houses, narrow alleys and arcaded side walks.

Arrival

Exit to South Bellinzona/Locarno, in direction to Locarno until Quartino (about 10 km), in Quartino pass the roundabout and then straight in direction to Luino/ Gambarogno.

In Vira turn left in direction to Indemini. After passing the Hotel Bellavista its about 500m distance to the driveway of the Viramonte-Residence.
