Location and surroundings

Contrary to the well known tourist centers of the Costa del Sol (Torremolinos or Marbella) the picturesque village of Nerja has largely maintained the flair of an authentic Andalusian coastal village with its old town and its cobbled alleys.
Thus Andalusian life style and unobtrusive friendly internationality successfully fuse together, omnipresent and closely experienced by the guest.
This well-being is enforced by the year round mild subtropical ocean climate with more than 2950 hours of sunshine (cf. Essen ca. 1420 hours) with ca 325 sunny days. Protected by the Sierra de Almijara (ca 2085 m) the average daily temperature is about 16,5 degrees C in January – 25 degrees C in August. Water temperatures are accordingly pleasant.
