The Holiday apartment
This maisonette is perched on the old bastion walls of the ancient city of Birgu commanding stunning views of the entrance of the Grand Harbour and Valletta and Bhigi.
There are steps that lead to the sea adjacent to the property. One may swim in front or tie up a boat or stroll around the harbour and sample any of the excellent restaurants along the water.
The town square is only about 150m away were there are several small grocery shops and cafes and nestled in the old town (200-300m) are several lovely wine bars.
The busses on route to Valletta are just outside the city gates or there are also water taxies that offer a tour of the harbour or a ferry to Valletta. The Maisonette is in a quiet part of Birgu but not far from any activity.
Special features
Cars or other vehicles may not pass in front of the house as this alley is just a small walk-way. Parking is about 10-20m up at the top of the alley. It is very safe for children in front and also by the sea under the house where one may swim.

Although not a private dock there is a mooring infront of the house that belongs to the owner and one may use this if they come by boat.Location and surroundings
Birgu, a quaint ancient peninsular town that juts out into the Grand Harbour is perhaps one of the most interesting historical sites in Europe.
This small town (about 0.5 sq km) has been home to many peoples from pre-historic times, to the Phoenicians, to the Normans, to the Knights of St. John who defeated the Ottoman attackers in the Great Siege of 1565 from Fort St. Angelo at the tip of Birgu.
The most recent British occupation saw a second Great Siege at this site during WWII. Now, resting peacefully from this colourful history, Birgu is a lovely quiet and traditional Maltese town where one can local produce or sip coffee or wine from lovely cafes and wine bars nestled in its old crooked streets. Birgu is truly a taste of 'old Malta'.

Birgu itself is just a quiet little village with little activity besides swimming and fishing; however, within 10min of Birgu one can find just about any activity one desires from Golf to rock climbing, scuba diving and windsurfing, and not far from Birgu one can rent bicycles as well.

Perfekte Lage mit wunderschönem Ausblick

by M. Meyer from BremenDie Beschreibung im Netz ist teilweise irreführend: Das Kinderzimmer hat Tür und Fenster zu einem Luftschacht mit Waschmaschine etc. Die 3 französischen Balkone liegen nebeneinander - jeweils vom Wohnzimmer aus mit Blick auf den Hafen.
Bis auf diese im Vergleich zu den Vorzügen der Wohnung kleinen Einschränkungen, war alles bestens.
Es ist wunderbar ruhig, der Blick ist fantastisch, der Wohnessbereich und die Küche überaus großzügig. Lebensmittelgeschäfte, der Bäcker, Restaurants, alles in wenigen Minuten durch die herrlichen alten Gassen zu erreichen. Die Anwohner waren hilfsbereit und freundlich. Die Wohnung fühlt sich authentisch an. Wir waren froh nicht in den neu gebauten Appartements untergekommen zu sein.
Der Vermieter und seine Mutter waren sehr zuvorkommend. -
