The Chalet
Chalet Alpstein has 3 apartments and 3 studios to let for self-catering. The largest apartment on the ground floor has 4 bedrooms and sleeps 8 people. On the first floor there are two separate apartments which each sleep 4 people in two bedrooms. We also have 3 studios for 2 people on the second floor.
The property was purpose built as apartments and each apartment or studio has its own facilities. The Chalet has a lower ground floor with ski room and washing machine facilities. The Chalet faces south overlooking the Eiger and all the apartments and 2 of the studios have fantastic views of this wonderful mountain. The sport centre with swimming pool, ice rink and wellness centre is right next door.

Additional amenities
The Chalet has WiFi internet access available. A washing machine and drying room in the basement. All the apartments and studios are provided with linen and towels and all have showers, the 3 apartments have bath tubs.The apartments have ovens and Alpenrose and Edelweiss have dishwashers. The studios each have kitchenettes with two ring electric hobs and a separate shower and toilet.
Location and surroundings
Chalet Alpstein is fantastically located in Grindelwald. Only 3 minutes easy walk to the train station for Kleine Scheidegg, even in ski boots. The shops and restaurants are also easily reached with the main high street only 150m away.
The bus depot for access to Firstbahn and Männlichenbahn is 2 minutes walk. Right next door to the Chalet is the sports centre which has a lovely swimming pool, ice skating rink, climbing wall, rope park and wellness centre.
Despite the convenience of the location it is still quiet and peaceful, situated on a no through road. There are no properties in front blocking the chalets uninterrupted views of the Eiger.

Further activities
Grindelwald is surrounded by beautiful mountains including the Eiger. In winter there are 3 extensive ski areas to explore direct from the village, with fantastic skiing for beginners, intermediates and families.
There are also over 30km's of toboggan runs. In summer there is wonderful walking and hiking in the meadows and surrounding mountains.

Arrival
You can fly into Zurich, Basel or Geneva. From Zurich and Basel it takes approx 2.5 hrs by car or train to reach Grindelwald and from Geneva it takes approx 3.5 hours

- The price for the 4 bedroom apartment ranges from CHF2800 - CHF3300 per week. For the two bedroom apartment it ranges from CHF1750 - CHF1995 and for the studios from CHF700 - CHF980 per week, depending on dates.
- We generally let on a Sat - Sat basis although there can be some flexibility (particularly off season). We ask for 20% up front and the balance 1 month before. Payment is by bank transfer only.
- The tourist tax which is CHF3.60 per person/per night is in addition. We also ask for a refundable security deposit in cash on arrival.
