The Holiday Apartments
Vila da Igreja is located on the outer edge of the hotel zone of Funchal, surrounded by banana groves and detached family homes, in a quiet, rural location. Directly below the beautiful church of Sao Martinho. One of the island’s places of interest.
100 m below the house meanders the Levada de Pornais, on which you can stroll to the centre of town, with a constant beautiful view of the sea. Or take the other direction, heading for jagged ravine and the abandoned village of Faja.
Bus stops for 5 city bus routes are within a 10 minute walking distance. Praja Formosa – a bathing bay with a sandy beach – can be reached within approx. 15-20 minutes.
