Location and surroundings
The charming sandy beach of Matala is only six kilometres from Kamilari, during the 1960s Matala was a popular hippy 'hang out' (Cat Stevens and Bob Dylan being two of its more famous visitors) and to this day a few 'ageing hippies' sell hand made jewellery on the beach.
The beautiful bay at Matala is surrounded by golden cliffs, the caves of which have been carved into weird and wonderful shapes.
Matala is spectacular by day, but at sunset the views across the bay become even more breathtaking.
The lovely inland village of Sivas is also only three kilometres from Kamilari there are many tavernas around the village square where you can enjoy traditional food and once a week a Cretan music evening.

by Mr. Robert Bogner from LinzWir verbrachten 3 wunderschöne Wochen in den Gaia-Bungalows in Kamilari! Das Haus und der Pool sind top. Wir hatten immer alles was wir brauchten. Auch für unsere 14monate alte Tochter war alles da. (Kinderhochstuhl, Gitterbett, sogar Spielsachen...) Der Kinderpool war für sie perfekt. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen.
Kamilari ist ein wunderschöner kleiner Ort im Süden von Kreta nicht weit entfernt von den schönen Stränden Commosbeach, Matala...
Wir haben den Urlaub in Kamilari sehr genossen und werden bestimmt wieder einmal kommen!

Frühling und Ostern in Kamilari/Gaia Studios

by Family Wettberg from 40878 RatingenWir buchten auf anraten von guten Freunden, die schon mehrmals in diesen Studios ihren Urlaub verbracht haben und begeistert von dieser Unterkunft und den netten Besitzern sind, unseren diesjährigen Frühjahrsurlaub ebenfalls in den Gaia Studios.
Der aufs Beste ausgestattete Bungalow gefiel nicht nur uns Erwachsenen, sondern auch unserem 5-jährigen Sohn, der sein eigenes Ferien-Kinderzimmer mit viel Platz genoss und auch draußen ausreichend Raum für Spiel und Spaß fand.
Gerne hätte er den kindgerechten Swimmingpool genutzt - das werden wir im bereits gebuchten Sommerurlaub nachholen, denn jetzt im April war zwar herrliches Frühlingswetter, aber ein Bad im Pool erschien uns doch noch zu früh.
Die Besitzer sind sehr herzlich u. hilfsbereit. Ostern in Kamilari war ein Erlebnis! Der Urlaub war rundum gelungen!2 of 2 persons think this rating is helpful
