The Holiday apartment
A pretty, spacious holiday cottage, which can be hired alone or together with 'Ducks Dive' (see separate listing). It has its own entrance and enclosed patio, with a lovely view of the colourful gardens and peaceful surrounding countryside. If you love nature, then this will be a holiday in paradise for you. There is a pond and lots of visiting wildlife and wonderful walks direct from the door. The German/English owners on site will help you whenever you need them. A few minutes' drive to the coast- or leave the car behind in the grounds and travel on the small tourist train which stops on request at the end of the lane!
"Summertime" is the west wing of Seasons, for 6 people: 1 twin, 2 doubles, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, lounge/diner, utility

Although places to visit are never far away, you can enjoy the peace and quiet, the magic of the stream and the country lanes leading into the woodland bordering our pretty sunny gardens. Sit on the bench beside our beautiful pond and watch the ducks

Location and surroundings
A Haven of Tranquility. Seasons is idyllically situated in the heart of the beautiful Looe Valley, surrounded by rolling hills and woodland. Conveniently positioned to visit many of the renowned Gardens of Cornwall, including the Eden Project and several National Trust properties including Cotehele and Llanhydrock. The historic harbours of Looe & Polperro and the sailing waters of Fowey are close by, as well as numerous coves and beaches to be discovered in between- wonderful countryside, as described by Rosamunde Pilcher. Leave the car behind in the safety of our grounds and travel on the Looe Valley Line, a tourist train, which stops on request at the end of our lane. Splendid walks direct from the house. 10 mins to the open sea and moor.

Arrival
Please arrive after 15:00 and follow these directions:
From the A38 Plymouth-Liskeard, take the B3252. At the brow of the hill (Horningtops) turn right and continue through the village of Trewidland and down to the small railway bridge where you bear left, direction Looe/Sandplace.After about 500m at Badham Farm, turn right into Stocks Lane (right fork). Seasons can be found 200m on the right. You may drive down the driveway to unload your luggage, but afterwards please return your vehicle to the car park. You will be welcomed by your hosts and in your holiday home, you will find plenty of information about places to visit and shop, local amenities, etc.
Your hosts will always gladly provide assistance, should you require it.

Besser geht es nicht!

by G. Mennel from WendelsteinUrlaub in England – da denkt man doch gleich an Regenwetter. Aber kein Problem. Linda und Wolff Piegeler haben uns unseren Urlaub zu einem tollen Erlebnis gemacht. Ihre Gastfreundschaft haben wir (4 Erwachsene und 2 Hunde) in vollen Zügen genossen.
In der komplett ausgestatteten Küche haben wir gekocht und im gemütlichen Wohnzimmer die Olympiade in London in bester Qualität verfolgen können.
Die Tipps der Piegelers haben wir gerne befolgt und haben so viel vom Land und von Cornwalls Küste gesehen. Mit feuchten Augen (es hat auch mal wieder geregnet) haben wir The Seasons verlassen und den langen Heimweg angetreten. Gerne werden wir den Kontakt zu unseren Landlords aufrecht erhalten. Vielleicht gibt es ja ein Wiedersehen? -
Aus Wiesbaden im Hessenland kamen wir an Cornwall's Strand.

u Wandern, ja, das wollten wir gerne
2 Tage haben wir hierher gebraucht
u waren beim Ankommen ganz schoen "geschlaucht"
Ein traumhaftes Cottage haben wir hier gefunden
da war der Reisestress bald ueberwunden
Empfangen wurden wir mit Herzlichkeit pur
das ist, weiss Gott, besser als jede Kur
Wir hatten hier eine traumhafte Zeit
und sind nun wieder fuer den Alltag bereit
Selbst der Himmel hat uns mit Sonne belohnt
das ist man von England doch gar nicht gewohnt...
Mit Traenen im Auge u traurigem Blick
kehren wir nach mehr als 2 Wochen nach Deutschland zurueck
All unseren Freunden werden wir von Cornwall vorschwaermen
auch die sollten Polperro, Mevagissey, St. Yves + Padstow kennenlernen.

Ein unvergeßlicher Urlaub

by Norbert & Silvia Rautenberg from dem schönen BayernlandMeine Tochter und ich, haben bei Linda und Wolfgang Piegeler im Seasons Country House in Cornwall ein paar Wunderschöne Tage bei netten Gastgebern in einer herrlichen ruhigen Umgebung erleben dürfen. Von dort aus kann man sehr gut auf den Spuren der Rosamunde Pilcher wandeln, es gibt jeden Tag neue Ziele zu erkunden. Es ist eine Fundgrube für alle die sich für die Geschichte England´s und Cornwall´s interessieren.
