Location and surroundings
Palazzuolo is a real-life fairy tale: a medieval village on the edge of the Mugello area, which was once the land of the Medici family.
At only 437 meters above sea level, Palazzuolo is surrounded by a crown of beautiful mountains, the tallest of which, Monte Carzolano, rising to 1187 meters. Once a remote and rural area, these mountains saw the gradual disappearance of the farm based economy and , as a result, nature re-claimed the once cultivated slopes creating a scenery of pure and uncontaminated beauty.
Between mountains, woods and streams, breathtaking natural trails unravel which can be explored by trekking, horseback or mountain bike.

wonderful time in Palazzuolo
04/07/2011
by B. Perlick from MoehrendorfMrs. Chiariotti has created a wonderful welcome atmosphere. We very much enjoyed her garden to relax. She was a good person to talk to, informed and her tipps for visits were helpful. The breakfast was just wonderful. The surroundings of Palazzuolo seem to be ideal to relax and calm down from busy life.
