Winter or summer the bedrooms are very comfortable.	The vacation rental Craigard is a lovely old house, turned bijou hotel. 13 comfortable and well-appointed bedrooms, all having fully-tiled bathrooms with bath and shower. Huge fluffy towels, bathrobes, Neutrogena toiletries, and a comprehensive range of beverages and biscuits make welcome extras. The Restaurant has wonderful views over Campbeltown Loch, and serves sumptuous food, specialising in local seafood, shellfish, meat, produce and game. The wine list is extensive, with favourites from the Old and New World. The range of Single Malt Whiskies includes many from Springbank and Glen Scotia. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, with the hosts happy to help. Free WiFi, guest PC and extras like CD and DVD player, help make a most enjoyable break.

Our hotel is on Kintyre, a peninsular surrounded by the Atlantic to West and Clyde Estuary to East, making for spectacular views all around. The remoteness ensures quiet roads, walks and beaches. Campbeltown is a working fishing town, with many architecturally interesting buildings. There is a new swimming pool and gym nearby. Campbeltown Airport is 10 mins away. Local car hire available. Machrihanish, Machrihanish Dunes and Dunaverty Golf Clubs are all close by. Springbank and Glen Scotia Distilleries 5 mins away. Boat trips, fishing, deer stalking, rough shooting, clay pigeon shooting, are all available nearby.

Travel information

The airport is five minutes away. There are flights from Glasgow twice daily, Mon-Fri. There are three ferries, one to Islay, one to Arran and one to Portavadie on Cowal peninsular. We have a restaurant here in the hotel, with others one km away. We are located at the waterside.
